It’s about what you’d expect for price. You won’t be disappointed but you aren’t getting anything special. Good value compared to nearby shops. The chips were slightly underdone but otherwise okay.
5 star chips. Fresh oil. Batter free. Generous portion size. Nice thick cut. Hot and fresh with a nice crunch and minimal oiliness. Nice fluffy centre.
We are new to the area and stopped in after a walk. Chips were perfection! We got extra large for three adults and two kids and still couldn’t finish them, potato scallops were awesome too!
Delicious and affordable fish and chips in very filling portions. ???? Friendly and quick service. Plenty of seating available indoors and outdoors. Street parking available nearby. A short walk to the pier.
We have been to Grace Takeaway twice over the past two weekends. The first was after being disappointed when visiting the WHALE PARK which was closed for maintenance. The disappointment changed when the fare could only be described as outstanding. The burgers rated 11/10 for preparation, quality and taste, grilled barra was excellent, and chips/potato scallops the same. Service was excellent. We travelled up from the GC again this Sunday for a junior rugby league game & a 3 year old's birthday which we decided to hold at the Whale Park. No joy, still under repair so to allay our disappointment back to Grace. Exactly the same. Brilliant food and service. A long drive but so worthwhile.
